We strive to keep our brand strategy process simple, focused and fluid.

Honestly, we hate overdoing things. Sure, you could spend tens of thousands of dollars on market research, pull together a big team, interview extended relatives of the CEO and generally bloat the timeline and deliverables of a strategy session to increase the perception of value. But we don’t believe that’s all necessary to doing great work.

We’d rather just get in a room with you, spend some time with your team, ask a lot of questions and get a feel for your culture. Then, we’ll talk. And think. And synthesize. And align.

Our goal is to boil things down to the core or essence of your brand and define your brand story with the following questions:

  • What makes you different from everyone else?
  • What’s your brand personality like?
  • Who’s your tribe? What do they care about?
  • Where are you going as a business/brand?
  • How can we get there?

After we go through some exercises with you we’ll distill the most important things into a simple Creative Brief. This will inform all the design work we do moving forward.

To use another metaphor, a good brand strategy is like the root system to a tree. How tall it grows and how healthy it blooms depend on what’s beneath the soil.
